Roofing is the job where sizing goes wrong most often, and it is always for the same reason: people size by how the pile looks rather than what it weighs. A square of architectural asphalt shingle runs roughly 250 to 400 pounds. Concrete barrel tile is far heavier again. A container that looks half full can already be at its weight allowance.

Concrete and clay barrel tile is common on the 1990s and 2000s stock in Celebration, Reunion, ChampionsGate and the higher-end vacation communities, and it is dramatically heavier per square. Metal is increasingly common on newer builds and is light but bulky.
